Swanage are claiming they don't have the correct rolling stock to run the services to Wareham so looks like Norden is the terminus for the north journeys. Still waiting what two EE visitors to be confirmed.

Shaping up potentially to be one of the best line ups for a few years. classes 25,26,33 and 73's confirmed now with a class 44 , GBRF 50007 , 59002 also making an appearance with at least a couple more from the SVR to be revealed should provide a cracking weekend in the Purbecks.

I'd go for Harmans Cross on the Swanage line. request stop station unless a gala not much there unless you drive there to camp or get fuel which you would drive there anyway.

A number of 56's were allocated to Cardiff around 1979 to pick up the Steel trains between Swansea Port Talbot and Llanwern. Saw a few of them venture to Bristol Bath Road on weekends.

I'm currently tracking a service which arrived at Lime Street in the mid 80's middle of the night. I caught 45001 from Crewe to Lime Street but never knew what service this was. Your post above may have answered it.
