Strike-affected journey on Sunday - options?

Thank you , that’s really helpful. I have now sent to Avanti : "I now understand that on the day in question (sunday 4th February), as there were no WMT services , under NRCoT , "where disruption prevents you from completing the journey for which your Ticket is valid and is being used, any...

Strike-affected journey on Sunday - options?

Response from WMT ! : "Thank you for your email. In relation to your enquiry about obtaining a refund for your tickets dated 4th February I can confirm that you are to return to the original retailer you purchased the tickets from. It was ourselves then please contact the number below and seek...

So many announcements, so few people taking them on board

Agree, but I always find that when the human announcements start I am in a carriage where the audio is poor!

Strike-affected journey on Sunday - options?

Thank you for this. Given my circumstances outlined above and WMT response I have also "read this as an invitation to buy a ticket and try my luck with a retrospective PRO claim through their Customer Relations office.", for the full price of my tickets with Avanti. Is there a specific...

Strike-affected journey on Sunday - options?

Thanks for all your responses. Just to clarify I did ask WMR would they have laid on alternative transport , albeit it was just after I had bought the new tickets with avanti (I had to make a quick decision or miss the train). They replied : “if your WMR/LNR ticket is unused, you can claim a...

Strike-affected journey on Sunday - options?

Unfortunately I didn’t have the same luck as GPmartin. I was travelling Farncombe to Burton on Trent yesterday (Sunday). I had a single ticket Farncombe to Waterloo which was perfect (bought via Uber as 10% discount), then travelled across London to Euston using my Oyster(with senior railcard...

Introducing RailUK Tickets - support the forum when booking your rail tickets!

Splits involving rover tickets? Is this feature available ? If so, I dont appear to be able to find it. Generally for instance I check if its cheaper to use a Derbyshire Wayfarer in my itinerary, but I have to do this by trial and error at present. Thanks.

Delay Repay on the Elizabeth LIne - Tfl only pay out on their affected journeys?

OK thanks. I queried whether I could claim the Burton-on-Trent to Euston cost and the Tfl person said no just the Elizabeth line ticket cost. Never mentioned if this policy changed for delays over 60 minutes ! Definetly gave me the impression it was Elizabeth line ticket cost in all circumstances!

Delay Repay on the Elizabeth LIne - Tfl only pay out on their affected journeys?

It was a 30 to 60 minute delay due to what they said were signalling problems. Their process was to fill in their online customer comments form and then they call you back to take your bank details. My journey was Burton-on-Trent to London Euston with one ticket (no delays). Then underground...

How can I buy plusbus on-line with Northern?

Where I cant work out how to buy a plus bus for my journey I usually buy the plus bus from the booking office at my destination. Obviously only if they have a booking office and its open ! This opportunity may have a limited shelf life ! So electronic process would be good.

Delay Repay on the Elizabeth LIne - Tfl only pay out on their affected journeys?

Recently I was delayed on the Elizabeth line. I put in a claim for my complete journey involving CrossCountry & West Midlands trains. Tfl would only pay out on the cost of the ticket for the Elizabeth Line. Can they do this ? I did split the journey but I bought in the same transaction. Thanks.
