I emailed East Coast a while back and got this response:
Thank you for your email expressing an interest in working for East Coast as a Trainee Driver.
Vacancies in this field very rarely arise (drivers tend to stay here until they retire), when they do there is a substantial pool of...
I checked the FGW website for an update yesterday and on the status it said - 'vacancy filled' and still no results from stage one....gave them a call and queried this, spoke to someone who was very helpful and he said they are just transferring much of the process across to their new site and...
Hi Charlie,
I had my first stage assessments on the 2nd May and have not heard a dickie bird.....have emailed twice and telephoned and just get the typical 'we will let you know when we know'. I am left thinking that I have not made it through, as some people on here have already done their...
I had the same email too. They sent me a text to tell me I had an email....also they have replied exactly within the fourteen days timescale they mentioned on the application.
So far, they seem to be switched on with their HR department.
Thanks for you input everyone and yes I agree with the points made across the board -the situation was not a great one to be in and many factors had removed my involvement directly. Imagine if I had decided to leave the car and direct traffic or perhaps make it to the hard shoulder? I could not...

I am still waiting for stage 1 assessment results, having sat the tests on 2nd May. From reading the forums, it would seem that many are caught up in the process at various stages....
Congratulations Puremetal! very well done. Like many others on here, I am still waiting for results - I have emailed twice and got the same response as what I was told over the phone 'we will let you know when we know'.
Applied for Greater Anglia....
To be honest, I think Plonk has a point - certainly I would say that because all of the three tests were a 'tick box' exercise, it should be relatively easy to rule out those that did not pass very quickly and update/email this en masse.
Marking these simple tests requires NO intellectual...
A pinch? more like a spade:) think I will be sending an email today and see if I get anywhere....although I am of the opinion that if you have been eliminated, then surely you would have a website update by now?
