    West Coast sleeper

Can some one tell me how the sleepers work in terms of traction and loco changes? It seems there are lowland and highland services. Where do they split the stock? Any help with explaining their operation would be appreciated.

Broken escalators at Birmingham New Street

Every day at least one escalator down to or up from platform 4/5 is broken. This is a serious problem - probably under designed. They also cannot clear a platform quickly when a train arrives. Pathetic is the only description.

    Romania advice

The taxi problem in Bucuresti has been mostly solved. The official taxis outside the station are very cheap. Just check the meter is running. Wasn't overcharged at all anywhere in Romania during my stay. At nord station follow the signs to the official rank.
