    Shunter role , cricklewood

24k is the base rate, however there are enhancements to almost every shift ontop of that basic rate. So take home tends to be a lot more than that. (Source: I started at cricklewood and transferred to Peterborough last year)

    Traincrew footwear

I've worked platform and shunting now with the same TOC Steel toe capped safety shoes are required and provided by the company. Platform we were told it's to avoid dropping passenger ramps on the toes. Though what is required and what are worn by staff aren't always the same thing~

TOPS Requests (including headcodes, allocations, traction, etc) [Instructions in Post 2]

Don't suppose anyone knows what 313201 will be working today? Having a cheeky visit down south and hoping to see it!

Staff car park discount in another TOC station.

As others may have said but I may as well say it as well Drivers get use of the small car park just before you get to the "mayors walk" car park Platform staff/other roles are allocated a card for "spittlebank" car park just up the road from that. you're issued with a pass that has to be...

Huh, sounds interesting that then. Surprised to know point pulling isn't a part of that location! Cheers for the detailed awnser there~

    GTR Shunters

Frankly I'm surprised to say that I have been picked out of one of those dreaded "holding pools" and will be starting in the role "soon" I originally applied for GTR/1072 then GTR/17(somthing, can't recall) Medical is all out of the way and now I get to wait and see~ But I do have a few...

My bad there, force of habit, see a LNER behind a 67 and I'm so used to calling it a thunderbird XD

    Govia Thameslink fails security test

God I remember seeing the staff brief about this a few months ago, surprised it's only just "broken" into the open. It's good to remember that even though this is a failure in security, these tests are done to highlight weakness, and normally when a TOC fails them they get a good kick up the...

    GTR - shunter application

So has anyone started in this role yet at any yards? A little bird tells me they have interviewed again for this position and added more to those ever extending waiting lists~

    46045 + 26007 derailment at Fletton?

Would seem 0X56, a light engine move (with 5 heritage diesel locos) has derailed between Fletton Junction the Nene river Bridge on the DSL. Just passed it, seems only the rear bogie of 26007 has derailed.

    crosscountry recruitment number?

Seems really petty to make a thread asking for a number, but the number I have saved seems to be off. Need to call regarding an assessment, don't suppose any of you have the number?

    ECML disruption - Potters Bar

An unfortunate incident indeed, however it seemed quick work in getting trains transferred to the Hertford loop. Terrible for the new starter working on the platform at the time and all involved.
