I've just hit 250 hours, I'm confident with the route in general and braking areas and have had some valuable experience in leaf fall season with how much these can change. I'm just working on making sure I know all the crossovers and their speeds to finalise my route knowledge, particularly the...
It is possible, you can apply to be an instructor after 3 years as a qualified driver.
It was a long time ago now but I answered something along the lines of 'at this point in my life I'm looking for a long term career rather than a job and would hope to be driving in 5 years and many years...
GTR. I got a copy of my medical paperwork on the day and it just stated that I passed both with and without glasses, there was quite a few of us in the same situation. Feel free to pm me if you want more info, I think I was one of the first groups in my TOC to do the new EU medical which has the...
I have glasses for the same reason and it wasn't a problem for me. Just make sure to take them to the medical with you, they will test you with and without glasses and just put a note on your paperwork about the glasses requirement.
I thought I was 5'4, but at my medical was told I'm just under. Got the job still though, so it can't be the minimum height currently. Just means you have to allow extra time for seat adjustments everytime you get in a cab haha
Is there a specific role you were looking at?
Was 2 attempts for me, around a year from my first application to being offered the job with the second application. After getting no further than a 'thanks but no thanks' from the first application I took an extra part time job on the helpdesk for...

Depends on how many drivers that depot needs. The courses tend to have people for more than one depot, there could be one course split between KX, Cambridge, Hitchin and Peterborough for example.
I appreciate that you guys are keen to get news, but calling HR weekly won't make things move faster. They can only train 8 people per course, it isn't a short training process and there are limited trainers and training venues. I know people who waited 3 years in the talent pool before...
I always figured if I managed the MMI as long as I at least put the same level of focus and preparation into the managers interview I'd do ok. I was certainly far less nervous about the managers interview than the MMI. Depends on individual experiences I guess.
The group bourdon tool on here is useful. With regards to the rest, the TOC will send out practice materials for you beforehand. I've not heard of anything to say the courses have given anyone an advantage. I did find it useful to read up on interview techniques in advance of the MMI which is...
