I have an allergy to Wales*nline so avoid clicking on their articles/visiting that site unless absolutely necessary. Is there any actual news in that piece? The 2tph frequency has been known since 2018.

CrossCountry only run Cardiff - Nottingham with no intermediate stops in Wales other than Newport and Chepstow. Whilst some fans might be going to Chepstow as well as Gloucester/Cheltenham it hardly seems worth CrossCountry (who regularly cancel Cardiff services anyway) to put on extra services...

Looks too tight to me to. The proposed plan as part of the Central > Bay link includes a stop in Callaghan Square itself. In the interim 398s will terminate at the new platforms (9&10?) at Central, with an aspiration to extend their services further West, either potentially through the Brians...

Indeed, although as has been discussed elsewhere on this forum, there are too many announcements (especially in the quiet carriage) and no one plays a blind bit of notice.

That is easy. No one apart from those with an above interest in train travel know that GWR have a quiet carriage, the signage is non-existent and enforcement is equally non existent and has been for years.
