Yes, it was 4TPH on the Kirkby line prior to Headbolt Lane/777 introductions. They're slowly building back to this, increasing from 1 to 2 to 3, 4 will return "soon"...
Buckingham Group are main contractor on this and have filed a notice to appoint administrators, not sure what that'll mean for completion. Site looks very quiet today.
In the foreground, yes, probably just awaiting a bit of soft landscaping. In the background that's the bank of the stream that the new bridge crosses, it'll probably get seeded.
Spotted the first Northern train running in to Headbolt Lane this morning around 10am, sat at Platform 3 for a few minutes and then headed back towards Rainford.
27/07 - Also spotted a Class 777 running in to platform 2 so must be ramping up the testing.
Less than a week's notice - no trains between Liverpool Central and Kirkby from Saturday 1st July to Sunday 13th August.
At least confirms the station won't open before mid August which ties in with the above...
