    From what I saw, Network Rail did challenge the need for trains to stop running, and were told by the Fire Brigade that the trains could still possibly cause sparks that would ignite the gas, even though the trains are diesel powered.

    There was 2 trees down within 5 minutes of each other. One blocked both down lines at Woking, and the other both down lines at Weybridge. The fact both trees were close to each other probably worked against NR rather than to their benefit.

    Looking at next week on RTT the 2U9x circuit appears to have disappeared so it would appear to be from next week.

    I’m led to believe that soon the “soft launch” diagram will be replaced with 3 am peak round trips, one of them being the 0753 off of Windsor ER. A step in the right direction, even if it’s a small one.

    It could be both, it was damaged due to flooding, and so parts have been borrowed off it.

    I don’t know I’m afraid, like I said earlier it could just be paperwork that’s yet to be filed, or the works could have affected their kinetic envelope or it could be a mixture of the two.

    The 458/4s will only go on a series of set diagrams on Weybridge and Windsor services, they won’t be able to do mainline suburban or Readings from what I understand.
