    Breaking Journey on Outward Leg

Hi all - looking for some help as finding conflicting info. My intended journey is Stourbridge Junction -> Rugby outward on 22/3 (around 9:30 dep) return 24/3 (around 10:00 dep). I intend to stop at Birmingham International (for the NEC for about 6 hours) on the way. There are advance tickets...

    Kidderminster to Braintree advance fares

Hi. I am trying to get an advance fare from Kidderminster to Braintree for 5th November (arriving Braintree at 10:50). There seems to be no availability. I have checked and the fare setter is Chiltern. On their site you can select to get an alert, but the 5th November seems to be too soon to...

Cancelling a ticket without incurring admin

Ahh worth bearing in mind. I have now actually ended up going after all - happily it was super off peak this time (about £30 cheaper). I did think of one reason to pre-purchase tickets... seat reservations. Unless there is some way to reserve a seat you don't hold a ticket for?

Cancelling a ticket without incurring admin

Sorry my mistake - it was an Anytime return. I was confused by the NR site as it was trying to force an advance ticket (saving about 50p on a £100.60 ticket seemed hardly worth it!).

Cancelling a ticket without incurring admin

Yeh fair enough. I bought online just for ease of collection (unsure if station is manned early morning, and in a tired state could mess up on the TOD machine). On a side note, it seems strange that there is no return ticket available from Worcestershire Parkway to Croydon - it has to be...

Cancelling a ticket without incurring admin

Hi, I was due to travel fairly long distance today on a business trip, with expenses paid. I booked my tickets last night through Trainsplit (there was actually no split, it turned out as two standard singles. They are just my preferred booking engine). This morning, I have woken up to the...

    Kidderminster to Brighton

Thanks all for your comments. I think I will stick to the itinerary. Yes, part of my motivation was the £51 was a nice simple itinerary and the chances of me wanting to spend extra time in London are slim so thought it was worth it for 1.5 (optimistic?) pints. I bought the tickets through...

    Kidderminster to Brighton

Thanks all. Have managed to get an Advance return for £51 (a modest but appreciated saving on the £58.60 SOPR). It is shown as 2 single advance tickets - does that mean I am bound to catch all trains on the times specified, or is it more likely to actually be a single advance bit Birmingham to...

    Kidderminster to Brighton

Hi thought it would be best to resurrect this thread as it's for this journey. I'm trying to sort the tickets out - it's for 15th - 17th July. I can see the fare should be £58.60 (going via Birmingham and High Wycombe). However, when I input to Trainsplit (I like this site for train bookings...

nNetwork Day Tripper Adult - Am I getting this right?

Fair point. I have ridden it once, however sadly it does not serve much purpose to me generally

nNetwork Day Tripper Adult - Am I getting this right?

Thanks all. Will get myself one of those. This is a rare time when the train is considerably cheaper and easier than driving (albeit I will still have a drive to SBJ).

nNetwork Day Tripper Adult - Am I getting this right?

Hi, I'm looking at making a return journey Stourbridge Junction to Chester Road in August. I have looked at brfares, and an off-peak day return is £8.30 (I'm travelling on a Saturday). I remembered once seeing something about a West Mids day ranger kind of ticket - I have found the following...

Mobile ticket - unable to use

It's a mobile ticket (yes, I know... I have tried to explain the difference to family member). AFAIK, mobile tickets have to be shown physically on device, leaving you at the mercy of signal and battery life. I do not personally use trainline, having heard nothing good about them on here over...

Mobile ticket - unable to use

Hi apologies it's actually an iPhone 5c... don't ask! 1651150556 Have now resolved. Turns out you can't cancel, but you can amend. I amended to exactly the same journey, and selected TOD. It will refund card the original amount and take a new payment. What a palaver, but hopefully this might...

Mobile ticket - unable to use

Hi A family member has bought Mobile tickets through Trainline however his phone does not support the app (old SE, cannot update to new OS so cannot get the app). Is there a way to convert this to either an E-ticket (so I can print it) or even TOD so I can sort at a station for him?
