The courses are generally capped at 8. This is because the trainers can only have up to 4 trainees with them when they go on units out in the yard. With 8 trainees you therefore only need 2 trainers, any more and it probably becomes a pain to source a 3rd.

I wouldn't worry too much about that, or about being at Hitchin as you probably will only do your training there before getting hornsey or WGC

The driver depots are Kings Cross, Kings Lynn, Cambridge, Hitchin and Peterborough at present. WGC and Hornsey will become depots soon. If you meant maintenance depots then hornsey is the only one

Apologies, I should have been clearer, it's if you have already done an assessment with them (GTR) within the last 6 months then you shouldn't apply.

The job advertisement says if you have taken an assessment within the last 6 months then don't apply so I'd assume its regardless of the result. Apply anyway, all they can do is say no!

You can apply if you haven't taken any driver assessments with them within the last 6 months. If you have applied for other trainee driver roles but not sat any assessments then you're fine. All of this is assuming you haven't used up your 2 strikes previously. Hope that helps

One bad beat and you can also leave with nothing. Drivers CAN be spare on guaranteed rest days and earn a packet for doing nothing, not that it always happens.
