Used a couple of 3 car 197's this week, and chose to sit in the former "Standard Plus" section. Very spacious and comfortable, can tell people are still weary of sitting in there due to the vinyls on the doors. Unless your in the know, you won't sit in there I guess.
I was on a 4 car 158 at 9am this morning from Wrexham and they were both going to Holyhead. Thought it was a bit overkill to be honest given the shortage of them.
I've juat heard a news report on the radio (Nation Radio), that said a person was killed. Given it was a heart attack, due to the effects of the collision, should they be correcting this?
A sad situation regardless and thoughts are with the person's family.
No trains running between Wrexham and Bidston today due to signallers being unavailable. Buses will be running with disruption expected until 18:00

Those breakfasts are ridiculous. Didn't have the big one, the standard one defeated me.
1st Class on HD07 needs a touch of TLC but very comfortable reclining seats and excellent host.
I managed to get a 1st Class advance for around £40 compared to the normal cost of it. I dont mind paying £10 or so for the breakfast, just hope and pray there's no issues with the loco and set that morning!
I dont mind a 197 but would feel cheated out of it, if one turned up on the diagram.
Got an advance 1st class ticket for £40 via the TFW app for August.
I've used the MK4 to Cardiff in the past on a standard ticket so jumped at the chance to go 1st class for a change, may even give the breakfast a try (Chef permitting ).
