  • Thanks for your kind prompt response. Yes I just failed assessments on 30 th November, this was my first shot, sailed through all parts but failed Mt 4.1, sadly I had bought how2become book plus subscribed to various online mechanical tests but to no avail, although if I'm fortunate enough to be shortlisted again I'm now confident as i know what to expect, until then will continue to keep it fresh in my mind. After been unsuccessful on your first attempt did you reapply dead on six months later, if so what was your timescales on 2nd attempt from applying to being shortlisted? As you were unsuccessful at the group bourdon test first time did you sit all assessments again....apologies for so many questions but as you will understand I'm quite annoyed with myself for making a mess of my first time at assessments.
    Hi Alex,

I see from reading your posts this is your second time applying for trainee train driver, I have been looking for a second time round success story.....As I have just failed mech comprehension at the assessment centre, can you tell me my chances of having another chance of getting shortlisted for another shot at assessments? Congratulations on your success this time round and wish you all the best for your interview, any encouraging words- on re-applying would be welcoming.?
    Thanks ;)
