Basic stuff in here about going for driving jobs...i've been looking a while n still not in the rail industry yet. I think a lot of " old hands " on here get tired of replying to basic questions, or i've found they do...some can be sarcastic or tell you to more is expected of prospective drivers, etc.
I concentrate on the companies that work in my areas with depots no more than an hour away from where i live. A bit of searching threads on here will reveal them. Safety critical experience and customer focus are what they're after..no matter how responsible your current job the assessments and interviews have to be passed, everyone is treat the same.
