Admittedly the data source is a few years old now however this Freedom of Information request has an attached CSV file that contains the distance in kilometres and the running time in minutes between stations.

I believe that turbos are currently driver opens and guard closes at most stations in the west: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/gwr-turbo-doo-cameras.183771.
Funnily enough I happened to be in Bank station this evening and it didn't look like the new link to the Central Line was open. We were still routed via the existing interchange corridors to connect from the Northern Line to the Central Line. I suppose that there are still a few more days left...
Apologies if this has already been discussed elsewhere but Great Western Railway have been awarded a National Rail Contract until 2025 with an optional three-year extension.
I presume that this award will mostly be a continuation of the status quo with the replacement of diesel stock...
I would have thought that the Bakerloo line would offer a better interchange to the Elizabeth line at Paddington as the Bakerloo line has a direct interchange passageway to the Elizabeth line (provided that it is open) whereas the Hammersmith & City line platforms are on the other side of the...
Hi @Aaron1 yes that's correct, you just need to tap at Kings Cross St. Pancras underground station and at Canons Park underground station. By the way if you have an Oyster card instead of a contactless card, then you could add your railcard to get a discount...
Apologies for any confusion! If you read the quote in my post, I was referring to the train formation diagram, which Bletchleyite mentioned, as being useful, not the "this train is between" indicator.
I've noticed that these are present on the newer CIS displays in the Bristol and Bath area too, for example at Yate and Oldfield Park to name a couple.
I personally find these much better than the lengthy textual description, although my local station got a traditional style CIS display...
I noticed that GWR removed that message recently and I believe they replaced it with a message similar to the one below when they introduced zones:
"Train stops in zones 4 to 6. Cycle space zone 4. Wheelchair facilities zones 5 and 6. Train formation (Zones 4 to 6) A B C"
I've personally...
I believe that re-trimming generally involves removing the seat moquette and either re-applying it or replacing it with a new one. If I remember correctly, the refresh in question involved replacing this seat moquette with this one.
Very true, some modifications like the ones you mention have already been made to the Class 165 fleet as highlighted in another thread, however something a bit more substantial certainly wouldn't go amiss.
I believe that the last refresh of the turbo fleet was carried out sometime around 2010 as mentioned in the Marlow - Maidenhead Passengers' Association, however with that being said the interiors of the turbos do look in a noticeably worse condition than the recently refurbished sprinters. I...
There is currently a morning Cardiff - Penzance service (2C69) which operates on weekdays, however looking at Realtime Trains it appears to be being scaled back to Plymouth with additional stops in the May timetable.
In the liked pdfs above, it would appear that 2C67 might likely run to...
The GWR IETs only have a non-public area (kitchen) at the first class end of the train and not in the DPTS carriage as noted upthread, so it's unlikely to be a "crumple zone". This is different to the situation on CrossCountry voyagers, where there are non-public areas of similar size at both...
