They still run on the early morning departures from Cauldwell, can't remember if they're ECS to Luton or Bedford though. We've lost a lot though so they are a bit rarer.

I wouldn't worry too much, it's not as bad as you may think. The bit most of the people on my course found the worst was the MMI, the computerised tests are all fairly easy, you get a practice at each one anyway.
From what I can remember you have to use both at all times yes, personally I found it very easy. Just don't go at it too fast or too slow, they are measuring accuracy but also speed so it's important to get the fine balance to keep control but at the same time keep it moving steadily :-)
The above is why I was happy to take a Trainee DD role rather than wait in the talent pool. For me personally it was a big increase in pay and a good starting point, so was a no brainer, especially as I applied for DD and Mainline.
