I'll be honest, it's not been a great start in terms of the uniform. Some people on the course have received parts of their uniform but not everything. I personally have only received my shoes. Bit and pieces have just been turning up each day for different people. They expect you to wear smart...
It's initially 9-4 while you're in the classroom but obviously when you visit your depot with your minder and for core routes it can be any working shift time. However that comes later in the training.

Thanks LancsLass. First day went well. There's a good group of 12 of us with 2 really enthusiastic trainers. Obviously the first day just consisted of ice breakers, an introduction to the company and sorting our staff passes/mobile phones out.
The two hour commute to Leeds is a bit of pain...

I received confirmation that I passed my medical just over a week ago and was offered a place on a training course on the 30th January in Leeds but still...
Finally received a start date (30th Jan) for the conductor training for the Piccadilly vacancy, subject to medical on the 6th. Anyone else received similar news?
Thanks guys. To be fair I was told I had successfully passed the interview and they would be in touch regarding Janaury start dates shortly so I did assume they may have contacted me by now. I may contact Northern myself if I do not hear anything in the next couple of weeks.
