Transport Investigations “administrative option” - is this fair please?

Hi all Just wanted to provide an update please – I’ve had helpful, fair, and courteous dialog with the TIL prosecution department RE the specifics of my case - in summary: [1] Had I replied “Parson Street” at Bridgend I would’ve been asked questions about my journey, and then allowed to...

Transport Investigations “administrative option” - is this fair please?

Hi all, thank you again for all your replies! (which I’m digesting…..) Can I ask a potentially basic question please; if both my trains were operated by GWR (just checked), what role do TfW play in all of this please? Many thanks again TP

Transport Investigations “administrative option” - is this fair please?

Have also spoken to TfW customer services (generic queries, nothing specific to my case), and the person I spoke to (who was very helpful) was very clear that the obligation is for a passenger to seek out a conductor. Many thanks TP

Hi all, wishing you all a very happy new year! Having written a letter: [1] Summarising each journey leg (start / train / interchange station / train / dest) & how there was no reasonable opportunity as per NRCoT, except at destination (which was denied) [2] Asking for clarification as to...

Transport Investigations “administrative option” - is this fair please?

Hi all, thanks again for all your replies and advice! (..and barriers at Bridgend were UP if I remember rightly) I'm finishing my response, which is essentially: [1] Each purchase opportunity (start / train / change / train / end) and how I acted in accordance with NRCoT (apart from end...

Transport Investigations “administrative option” - is this fair please?

I remember vividly the gist of the conversation I had with the revenue inspector - I was told no I cannot buy a ticket because of how far I’ve come / where I’ve come from (cannot be exactly sure of teh words used), and had plenty of opportunity. I remember then joking how I could have just said...

Hi…I would like to thank EVERYONE for their replies and advice! Given I have time, I’m going to take a breath and look back over everything over the next few days and consolidate into two responses (one short & one long) please. Hi @ Fare-Cop: Yes - I was given the opportunity to sign the...

Transport Investigations “administrative option” - is this fair please?

Also, in my written answer taken by the inspector I said Parson Street, plus expected departure time (17:06) and how long it was delayed by (14 mins). All exactly true, and pretty elaborate for someone wanting to change their story after being cautioned – but maybe some people are genuinely...

Transport Investigations “administrative option” - is this fair please?

Hi 30907 Thank you for your reply, and no worries, fully understood! When the barrier person asked me where I’ve just come from (which they did), I just said Bristol. I can’t escape that fact, it’s a reasonable response from someone from Bristol. Had I been asked what station have I...
