Belfast-Dublin "Winter Enterprise" 3/2/12 (feat. NIR 111 Class GM and steam loco 461)

Sunday 3rd February will see the RPSI operate a "Winter Enterprise" from Belfast to Connolly and back. It will be diesel hauled (NIR 111 Class) on the way to Dublin with DSER Mogul No.461 working the return leg. Coaching stock will be the RPSI mkII set.

There will be a break of approximately 3 hours in Dublin, arriving at 12:50pm and departing 4:05pm, with an arrival back in Belfast Central at 7:45pm.

Ticketing and time info now available. Note the pickup point is Whitehead NIR and not Whitehead RPSI as the latter platform is being redeveloped to provide a NCC style station building.

Pity there isn't a Newry stop on the outbound to meet the first Enterprise ex Dublin.

Wouldn't have been a bad idea alright - I suspect the path may be fixed now though. I suppose there's the possibility of getting the bus to Belfast though it's a bit of an early start.
