Where abouts are we with this project? My understanding is that Llandudno-Chester (and Blaenau branch) are to be done mid-late 2014.

Presumably preparatory work is well underway. Haven't been over in Wales since August so can't comment on visual observations.

Apologies if this is been discussed elsewhere.

( Googled "North Wales Coast Resignalling" and the below thread came up.

As I know mods don't like old threads been re-started I thought I'd start a new one ).

Llandudno-Connah's Quay (ie excluding Chester PSB area) was due by 2015 in the original CP5 plan, but NR has not published the details yet.
I'm not sure the Blaenau branch is included in this phase.
I only see the eastern end but there are no obvious preparations yet.
The scheme follows the Shrewsbury-Crewe modular signalling pilot design, so it will depend if that has been given the go-ahead for further roll-out.
Also no doubt the timescales for transferring control to Cardiff will have an impact, given the major work on the SWML in CP5.

Thanks for the replies.

Ah right, that's good to know. I thought it was happening imminently (haven't been down the coast myself in many months so couldn't check progress physically), and with no visits planned for at least the next few months I thought I'd might miss the opportunity to get proper phots of the boxes.

Cheers.
