Hi all

Last weekend I travelled from Billericay to Chafford Hundred. On seeing that c2c were operating from Stratford, I travelled from BIC to Stratford, then Stratford > Upminster and then Upminster > Chafford Hundred.

The NRE app was happy to offer me this itinerary but didn't offer me a price, which I thought was odd.

The ticket I had was a Super Off-Peak Return at £10.50. Was this route valid?

Thanks in advance.

Seems reasonable to me, I'm sure someone more experienced will confirm, but it may be because of the double back between Forest Gate and Stratford.

Using the Routeing Point calculator, we find that Shenfield is the appropriate origin routeing point and Upminster the appropriate destination routeing point.
http://data.atoc.org/rp_calc

Routeing permissions for Shenfield - Upminster are: CO and CO+TS.
http://iblocks-rg-publication.s3-website-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/yellow_pages.pdf page 1717

CO gives:
Shenfield - Romford Group - Upminster

CO + TS gives:
CO: Shenfield - Romford Group - Stratford London Gp
TS: Stratford London Gp - Barking - Upminster

There is no relevant easement, not is Forest Gate a member of the Stratford London Group, thus I can not see any reason for the double back to be valid.
