I'm buying a London-Folkestone return ticket, planning to stay in Folkestone Fri-Sun, and trying to figure out if it's worth adding PlusBus to the ticket. If I did add PlusBus would I be able to use it on buses for the entire 3 days that I'm in Folkestone? Or is it only on the date on the ticket (which would presumably be the Friday that I'm travelling out on)?

Thanks!

PlusBus tickets are only valid for the date specified when buying. If you'd like three days of validity, you'll need to buy three days of PlusBus tickets!

I don't believe you will be sold that. You are allowed one (at each end of the journey) for a single or day return or two (each being within the validity of that portion of the ticket) for a period return.

Right, so you mean is, when I buy the ticket, I have to say at the time of buying the ticket which days I want PlusBus for - and pay for each day? (and if Bletchleyite is correct, I'll only be sold a maximum of two days worth of PlusBus)?

This is also my understanding.

A passenger with a period return says at a ticket office they will be making the return journey on a specific date and purchases a Plus Bus for that date.

Is the return ticket annotated to prevent the passenger buying further Plus Bus tickets ?

Mine was when I last did so at a ticket office. It isn't when you buy online, though, so you might get away with an extra one.

A few times I have bought a Plusbus ticket from a ticket office for use in conjunction with an already held 'period' return. The rail ticket has never been annotated. Judging by post #7, it would appear to depend on the person issuing the Plusbus.
