Do what you think is the right answer for you. Try and second guess what the SJT is looking for will potentially catch you out....... if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.

What would u guys put ???

Safety is ALWAYS number one in the SJT!

Therefore I would say:
* To immediately let customers know if their train is delayed
* To keep customers up-to-date with relevant infromation
* To provide customers with outstanding customer service

These are desirable and the TOC would prefer you do them, but in such as test, would certainly come lower than safety!

Plus, I think that selecting 'To have an adequate rest before shift' might raise a red flag!

With all the focus TOCs are placing on Customer Service and making announcements, I would doubt that those would be the bottom 3.

Really not a good idea this. TOCs look at these forums. Sorry to sound like a jobsworth, but this would be considered cheating. Do your best. If you can't get through the first sift, then you're going to struggle with what's to come.

If you need our help to pass are you going to need our help to do the job? Come across a tricky situation just ask on the internet?

These shouldn't be on here and makes a mockery of those of us who do practice, practice and practice to do them without outside influence.

Being a driver is safety critical , with that in mind everything to do with safety IS your highest priority, that should help you pick the 3 you need too

I have to say I agree here. I don’t believe in asking such questions on an open forum.

Ask for help and guidance by all means but literally the answers to questions? Not a good idea.

Think about the job and think about yourself, answer what you think is right/what you would do. That’s all they are asking, sometimes trying to guess the right answer is a bad move too.

Totally agree, there's no issue in asking for a bit of advice or guidance in an aid to prepare, but don't ask for answers direct. It will only trip you up later down the line.

Just look how they are worded:
1. drivers should always drive defensively even if it means a bit slower (eg, leaf fall season)
8. It is impossible to always stay to schedule, you should defo try but sometimes things happen where other things would take priority (“always” being the key word in that statement)
13. “Immediatly” isn’t always possible, definitely a priority but like 8 there can be other things that take priority

Ultimately you need to put what you think is correct though. There are preferred answers TOC’s will be looking for but these questions are genuinely about seeing how you personally would prioritize tasks in different situations and they aren’t trying to catch you out.
