Hello mate, thats all I know just going to wait now and see.
Hows things with you? have you heard anything yet

All good mate, still haven't heard anything from FL in terms of medical or potential start dates.
I had an interview with another FOC yesterday that went incredibly well hopefully I hear from them in a couple of days.

Yes, 30 mins, and the colour change is really obvious, don't be like some poor sod on my day who got sent home because he imagined colour changes!

The images are on screen for about 0.5-1s, and it's traffic scenes, a bit like those "I'm not a robot" captcha things, so traffic lights, cars, bikes, pedestrians etc. If you look on YouTube there's an example video.

It's not that hard, just remember each stick is independent of each other, it's not like a Playstation. And don't pull up on them becase they will come off in your hand (I'm not joking!)

Freightliner don't require you to take the WCT.

Thank you very much for answering my questions, very helpful :) 0.5-1s is insane, I'll try and find that YouTube video!
Haha I'll try not to pull on the joysticks :D
Glad they don't do WCT, one less thing to worry about :)

Oh sorry I mean right at the beginning when you first applied, when I applied there were two links one for Trainee driver- IM and one for Trainee driver- HH?
That's what I meant, when I applied there was a dropdown to select if you wanted IM or HH, then whichever you selected would give you a code you used to access your application form, but each code was the same. On my application form itself I don't recall there being a selection, if there was then I have forgot which I selected, I wouldn't have known enough about either to make a proper decision anyway haha. Cheers :)

Mate honestly do not stress, it's really not that difficult. Just concentrate and relax, enjoy it if anything.

Haha I'm trying to not stress but it's so easy to mess up and ruin a big opportunity. I think I'll enjoy it on the day, it's been a hell of a wait since stage 1 hahaha :D

Cheers :)

I’ve also had the email this afternoon stating they’re looking at instructors etc. I’m in the pool waiting for Birmingham. I think it’s just a communication email and would suggest they’re now looking at allocations for those in the pool.

Strange! Maybe you have had it but it’s not come through yet lol. Or maybe you have had some other correspondence recently?

Nope not a whisper, they have recently recruited for my area again though. I've been in the pool since September. I've emailed Corinne anyway to see whats going on.

Let me know what she says! I haven’t got her email or number. Just the general train driver email.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems it's only those wanting Crewe or Birmingham who got the email today, I'm Reading and have not received this email.

I have my stage 2 assessment coming up soon , and just out of interest was wondering , how many of you guys , that have completed stage 2 , were asked to give a different example during your mmi interview? I feel I have reasonable answers for most questions but would struggle to come up with or remember fully 2 examples for all questions ? How did you prepare for that?

Wow that's a lot , did you think on your toes , or did you prepare 2 answers for everything?

You will be given a sheet at the beginning on the day to write your answer to each question on, this will then be the foundation for the interview. I won't lie, it's not the most enjoyable part of the process, but in my opinion trying to guide you on this would only add to your stress. Have a look at some example questions and think about what you might say and other than that just turn up on the day and give every test your best, that's all you can do.

Hello mate,

I was asked to give another example, I couldn't think of one so she asked me a hypothetical situation. Don't worry about it too much, they aren't there to trip you up.

Hope this helps

Hello mate
That's a great bit of insight , thank you , I've not read about them doing that before. Much appreciated.
