In the latest Club55 TPE offer, t&c's say:

"Club 55 tickets are only available in ADVANCE. Book using the 'Buy Tickets' button above or through our app with code CLUB55. Tickets are also available at stations but cannot be bought on the day of travel."

does the word advance imply sticking to a particular train or do you still have the usual flexibility of any train after 0930?

Thanks

I have just tried out buying one of these. You have to opt to buy a return ticket. You have to specify an outward journey date. You do not have to specify a particular train on that date unless you want to reserve a seat. You do not have to specify a return date. So they appear to be like an offpeak return that you have to buy prior to the date of outward travel.

So, much as they were last time, with that exception about buying before outbound travel date, and the Manchester Airport exclusion.

Asking on behalf of a family member.
If they choose a particular train in order to reserve a seat, if they miss that train can they take the next one?
Thanks
