Would anyone be able to assist with calculating the number of trains per day (in both directions) between Lifford East Junction and Bordesley Junction. The track number is MD570. I thought it would be possible to use Tracksy to find this information, but as trains only pass via Lifford and Bordesley and do not start or finish at these stations, I can't get this to work correctly. Here is a link to the Raildar Map.

Not many:

and
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/sea...19/06/05/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt (none)

I put a search for Lifford East Jn, 0000-2359, 'calling at' Bordesley Jn, then same the other way round.

Does this help?
Thanks for the suggestion. I was expecting at least 2-3 trains per hour based on observations alone and hoped that using these two stations as markers would help. I don't suppose you know any other ways to calculate the number of trains?

They would have to actually stop at Bordesley Junction, so you will have missed all the ones which pass through Bordesley Junction.
That would make sense. I was attempting to use the via option on Traksy but that didn't seem to work either. Are you aware of any other tools which might help?

Won't everything that passes Lifford East also pass Bordesley Junction? It will be most (but not all) XC Manchester Piccadilly - South West services and some freight.

Assume its to get the train the right way round at new st.
what is UGC and why no platform at New St?

There is a fair few daily moves like that. XC also shift 170's that way from New Street to Tyseley. There is a 170 move like that daily about 8:40am.

I think that UGC may be shorthand for Up Gloucester Central, as the Act of Parliament that authorised the construction was titled as Birmingham & Gloucester Railway, which became part of the Midland Railway.

According to the linked webpage, the train arrived into Platform 7 at Birmingham New Street.

It's a Voyager, so do they have a 'way round' ?

there's UGC & UGF, both exist as 'line' & 'path'

UGC is Up Gloucester, can't be UG as that would indicate Up Goods which is used elsewhere. UGF is Up Gloucester Fast.
