What is the largest place/village/town/city in the UK that is served entirely by one bus route only? I am struggling to think of many and the only ones that i can think of are villages but there must be some larger places as well? I don't expect there to be any cities but there must at least be some towns that are entirely served by just one bus route? I would be very interested to know what the largest place in the UK served entirely by just one bus route is? Note that to count it must be served by one route only. Suffixes and prefixes are counted as different routes. So a 1 / 1A / 1B / 1C / 1X / A1 / B1 / C1 / X1 etc etc etc are all different route numbers and wouldn't count. I hope this makes it clear.

Wiveliscombe. Buses of Somerset 25 is the only route, I don't think there are any once a week shopper or school services in addition, but I might be wrong....

Shrivenham and Watchfield (which are technically two separate villages but completely contiguous) have a population of 4,569. The S6 is their only service, but it does run very frequently - I'd suggest anywhere on a high frequency route like that could be a candidate since they could have a good service from just one route.

Settle in North Yorkshire, a population of about 2,600 only has the Skipton - Lancaster Bus Service operated by Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire.

Is that the one that changes its number from 580 to 581 in Settle? :)

More seriously, it's also served by the 11 to Tosside and Horton in Ribblesdale, the Sunday 831 to Hawes and is on the route of the Sunday 881 Morecambe to Malham.
