As above.

Despite thinking I’d ballsed up the DMI, had the call today with a conditional offer at GWR!

Just the medical and all the other stuff to get sorted..

Where have you applied for Andrew? And how long between DMI and the email to say you've passed? I've got my DMI for Exeter St David's in 11 hours :)

I applied at Reading.

Had the MMI and DMI on Thursday, got the call whilst on the school run yesterday.

Congrats Andrew! Very fast response time, especially for a conditional offer! They seem to have bypassed the pool?

I’ve not applied for a mainline job. It’s for a shunter position, or manoeuvrer, as they call it.

Hi Daydreamer...like a dream. It was relaxed, it was quite informal at times, the Q&A flowed nicely. I left my MMI thinking I could've done so much more but left this interview thinking I've done all I can do. I've been told to expect feedback within 48 hours. I would be more positive had I not seen so many other posts on here where people have failed.

I felt that about mine and I start next week. I usually can’t call how it went, which isn’t necessarily a bad sign, but this one was different. I felt like I did as well as I could possibly have done. Good luck!

Thanks Stigy. I'm the same. I've already had PMs asking about the questions that were asked and I can't recall more than about 3 or 4 :/ not sure if that's a good thing or my age :) update posted soon

Good stuff, fingers crossed for you.

That is exactly how I felt after my DMI. Had the email to say I had passed the following morning!

Well done chap. Looks like we'll be working together soon then, perhaps even on the same training course.

I've initially applied for Mano at Swindon back in September. After a lot of waiting, in late May I was offered to have an interview for Reading TCD. It all took off quick from there, had my medical last week, and hopefully not too long of a wait ahead.

Cool!
My medical is booked for the 9th, with a view to starting mid to late July.

Sent the DBS forms off yesterday (even though I have a current, valid one from my previous job)
Glad to know I won’t be the only noobie!

Received today an e-mail with a start date of the 22nd July. If all goes smoothly with your medical, I'd expect to see you starting on the same date as well.

Are you an internal, or an external candidate?

That’d be awesome, I’m an external applicant.

Well done. Could you shed some light on questions they ask you about the company?
