Probably a great idea on the continent where the lightweight SP differentials don't exist.
But surely the 20mph limit between Norwich and Brundall is only there to save cash and avoid rebuilding / refurbishing the bridge?

How does this affect the 3-car 755's? With only two gen-sets there must be room in the power-car for bigger fuel tanks + probably less weight / axle-loading than the 4-car unit power-cars.
You would think so & damn good point. Unfortunately I don't know but will endeavour to find out.

My pleasure guys. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Not sure of the exact problem with it today.

Never mind. There's always the possibility of some unforseen issue with the new trains cropping up and the 37s soldiering on for another few weeks I suppose.
I'm away now until mid-August Sonu guess I've missed my chance. Drat.

It was on standby duty today at Norwich in case it needed to resume its old diagram.

Have the class 37 diagrams now ceased?
Only the fixed diagram, not the train itself, which is on standby for the moment. Given the number of cancellations "due to a train fault", it is likely to see use for a little while. On some days, it may actually see more use than if the booked diagram had remained!

Wise move, they would do well to keep it for the next few weeks as a hot spare while the flirts bed in.

Booked 37 drivers still booked on with 755 instructors working NC37 so as long as DRS locos/train in working order there should be cover in case of a no show.

The 37's + 2 cars worked Norwich - Lowestoft & return on Tuesday afternoon, then stayed in service on a Yarmouth working.
Sorry but no service details, I left my timetables in the 755 working the 13xx Yarmouth to Norwich, did the round-trip to Lowestoft but had to make a hurried trip home on the 1600 to Liv.St.

Travelling on the 0959 fast service to Great Yarmouth (class 755), I spotted that the 1036 stopping service to Yarmouth will be run using the 37s and two mk2s (as will the 1117 return service). One of the 37s is in the Intercity livery, which looks very nice on it.

Interesting, both 37's last Tuesday were in blue DRS colours.

A bit of interest & variety out Norwich today. 37s as stated, along with the Stadler & also a 158 hired in from East Mids as they are on strike today so four sitting spare in the Jubilee sidings. .

Bet the TCS has had better days with trying to find crews for that lot!

Must be short on the GA DMU front.

Kudos to Crown Point, those locos could have come from a repaint. Still my favourite two liveries for the 37s.
They deserve a good send off when the time comes, hopefully GA will allow that rather than enthusiasts finding out about the last run on here.
