I've just booked a Eurostar "through ticket" from Sheffield to Brussels, and I've been given a ToD code to collect the tickets for the UK leg. Does this require the same card to collect the tickets as was used to make the booking, or do Eurostar allow any card for collection? https://help.eurostar.com/faq/uk-en...ts-if-I-have-booked-a-connecting-rail-journey seems very clear that you need the same card if you're collecting from a Eurostar machine, but seems to suggest you only need the booking reference to collect from a National Rail one.

Asking as the tickets have been booked on a corporate card and it's a bit of a pain for me to get hold of the physical card and take it to a ToD machine.

Are you able to visit a ToD ticket machine before the trip? If so, you could try to pick up the National Rail ticket to see if any card works.

I was able to collect my tickets using my debit card in the machine even though I'd bought the tickets on my credit card, so it should be the case that any card will work.

Thanks all, I was able to pick up the tickets this morning with a different card.

Does anyone know why TOCs sometimes advise that the same card is needed? It seems universally true that you can collect with any card under the UK rail booking system, but I've certainly seen the 'bring the card you used' advice elsewhere even though it must needlessly inconvenience a substantial number of passengers

I've had a duff TVM claim the card i was trying to use wasn't the one I'd paid with when it was.

The ticket office at Sheffield gave me an absolute load of grief telling me that clearly I was lying and the machine could not possibly be wrong even though I could prove easily that the tickets were for me with ID.

They did eventually concede.

Eurostar tickets no longer need any credit card to retrieve at the station (touchscreen machines or ticket office). Just need PNR 6 letter reference & ID at the desk, PNR & surname at the machine.
