Spotting with my son

Hi guys just getting into trains seriously but always showed an interest. Don't use them enough though! Wanted to take my 4 year old spotting tomorrow in Sandwell west midlands. Somewhere local preferably free parking or even cheap return ticket to tamebridge. Sorry if this is in the wrong place and thanks!!

A bit short notice I think for advice for today I’m afraid.
I’m not from the area so cannot advice as such. Maybe others will help for another day, it would be a shame to dampen your enthusiasm and that of your son.

I know Walsall is quite good for freight late morning to mid afternoon if that is any help?
