Hi all,

does anyone know or have a rough idea about the expectation of the TRP 2 (dials test). I recently sat an assessment day and only managed 21 dials which I am 99% sure were all correct but didn’t manage the full 43 or anywhere near that?! Slightly worried, please let me know your thoughts / experiences

thanks all!

I cannot remember exactly how many I completed but I didn’t get near the end either and passed. I think I got roughly 30 completed from memory.

Can’t say with 100% certainty, but if they were all correct, I reckon you’ll be okay.

Although a different test, I only managed 8.5 out of 42 in the DFFT (Driver Fault Finding Test) and still passed. Like you, I was 99% sure all were correct though. I reckon one wrong would have been a fail at that level.

It’s about accuracy rather than quantity. If you managed all 43 or whatever and got half wrong, you’d fail. If you managed say 22 and got 20 right, you’d probably pass.

Good luck!

I've no idea on the pass mark but I managed about 38 when I passed mine.

If you got 100% correct you might be OK? I think they value accuracy as much as speed.

Hey. I managed the same amount as you OP, 21-22, and I passed. :) You should be OK as long as your answers were correct.

I managed 40 out of 43.
May have put a slight scribble on the 41st but then time was called.
Be surprised if I got any wrong.
I passed at advanced level for TPE.

For this test, we were told

You are NOT marked down for INCORRECT ANSWERS, I’m sure?

if that’s the case, why aren’t people just guessing as many as they can for the last minute

I don’t think anybody could tell you a pass mark as such. It’s about accuracy as much as speed so it depends how many you completed in most tests, alongside those you got wrong.

Ok I did think that would be the answer. Was 100% sure on all the tests today :) just that one TRP1 where I wasn’t sure on a couple of questions. Completed 18 Oh well we will see.

I'm certain fault finding was 20 questions in total, I passed and answered around 9.

Did you pass this to enhanced standard? I recently did this and managed half of the 10th question before having to stop?

I had it in my head it was 42/3 for some reason. More logical how I passed then haha. It was still quite a low score considering I guess.

I did 19 dials on my freightliner assessment day and that was an enhanced pass, despite only getting a standard pass for the glop. I wouldn't worry.

Hi PaulBusDriver yeah I did 23 dials and and sure they were all correct can I just ask how many questions you completed on GLOP and if you know if you got any wrong. Thanks mate

They didn't give exact numbers for the glop but they said a few of my answers were wrong so I got standard pass overall.

Yeah I got my results back. Got enhanced on everything apart from TRP1 which was standard. So will have to wait again for 6 months. Annoying was only by a few marks I think
