Hey, yeah im the same, this forum has been great for info and knowing other folk are in the same boat. The assessment is very straightforward, 1 question with 3 possible answers and just pick the one you think is the most appropriate action. It won't take you the 30minutes and I would advise not to overthink it. Good luck!
Cheers for that..always a fear of trying to second guess what we need to be looking at in this particular role and getting it completely wrong, after all we are only (usually) experienced in the role that we currently have a career in.

This is great to read from
Someone having got through the process ... thanks for sharing your experiences. I’ve just applied Bletchley after missing out on EMT Talent pool last year when they were recruiting. Was gutted, and these are so few are far between that vacancies arise you can’t help put yourself under pressure. How are you finding the training etc ?
Hello mate, good to see you succeed. I received my email today for second lot of assessments. What should i expect ?

They have had over 4000 applications for this pool
so be thankful your application passed but hopefully saved it if don’t get through as will come up again
the sjt I believe is internal and nothing to do with opc just another sift stage
good luck to all
Thank you for that I was wondering if it's internal test or OPC, as I've passed OPC once already.
Also I'm outside the 1hr window for how far you live from depot, do they still allow people to go through the whole process if they're willing to re-locate?

i also received 14 emails with links for the assessment and none of them work when i click the link. I can see others have had this problem. Did you contact them or did they eventually just send a working link ?

There was a lot of EMT recruitment for Kettering/Corby wasn't there? The electrification is proceeding apace from Bedford.

Training is a lot of info to cram into 4 months of classroom. Induction, Intro to operations, Rules 1, Traction & Low speed handling, Rules 2, Route learning. Then the months of mainline handling.
Maybe a subject for another thread. If you progress to the next part of testing, I put some info here https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/west-midlands-railway.205327/#post-4649633 on prepping for OPC and interviews.

I sat a SJT with the OPC recently, do you think this is an internal one or will my pass with the OPC be ok? Thanks S-Car-Go
Have you passed OPC stage one and two? I have, and a little apprehensive taking this SJT until I find out if it's definitely an internal assessment.

Does anyone have a contact in recruitment please?

I emailed them that day and heard nothing back so did the test anyway. All I can say is this one isn’t with the OPC so I’m guessing it’s in house.

Guys don’t expect to hear back in the next few days

Took 3 weeks for me to hear back regarding the SJT then a further 3months before I got invited to stage one, it’s a long slog so try not to be constantly thinking about it as it will drive you crazy!

just get on with your life and be patient

I think some have seen the automatic responses thrown out at Avanti and assume the same thing happens. In this case, the process seems to potentially be ‘more manual’ and therefore will indeed take longer.

Just remember seeing someone whom applied for Bletchley got an answer the next day, earlier in this thread, so assumed it would be the same but if they have had 4000 applicants then yes it may take some time lol.

Does anyone have any info or any idea of what is involved/what kind of questions that we are likely to be asked on stage number 3, if we are successful in getting through the online SJT?

3. Video interview Pre-recorded video interviews are reviewed individually by the driver management team. Further details on this will be provided once you reach this stage, along with information of how you can prepare.

I have heard of a few video interviews being done and of course all you need to do is cover the top half - you can wear your PJ bottoms at least for comfort!
