Don't book your tickets yes, all this is under consideration for now in at least two countries:
Leo Express submitted proposals to the Czech Ministry for Transport and Infrastructure last June and the plans are under consideration by Belgium’s Railway Transport regulator at the moment.

Should it get the green light, the Czech rail operator will launch a direct service connecting Ostend to Bratislava, running in both directions. The train will stop in Bruges, Ghent, Brussels and Liège,
followed by over 20 German cities including Aachen, Cologne, Hanover, Leipzig and Dresden.

The train is set to pull into Prague at 8 pm and then travel through the night stopping at Slovakian cities Kuty and Malacky and arriving in the capital Bratislava just after 1 am the following morning.

The return journey would see similar departure and arrival timings.

Quoted from the Euronews [emphasis added].
Absolutely wonderful, arriving in Bratislava (and in Ostend on the return journey) at 1 am.
I guess some nightclubs will still be open....

Leo Express has previous form for getting maximum hours out of its stock - the daily train to Kosice/Presov arriving/departing there in the middle of the night initially. Oostende is for "overnight" stabling, Brussels being less manageable, but Bratislava might do more business (and there's Brno en route).

In the days of the ferry there were 24 hour bars in Oostende. Probably still are, as they seemed well frequented by locals, especially fishing community
