Does anyone know why the 180 is in the sidings at Newark Northgate with the yellow contraption around one of its wheel sets?

It's been fitted with a wheelskate and is awaiting a slow trip to Crofton overnight tonight.

It is the set that failed at Newark and blocked the ECML for a few hours earlier in the week.

I noticed that Grand Central had some cancellations on the Sunderland route today. Has this set being out of service got anything to with it?

One set at Ilford for repairs, 1 set knackered at Newark and awaiting return to Crofton for repairs.

That leaves Grand Central with 8 units to cover 7 diagrams, which given the 180s current performance is very optimistic and unlikely to be achieved.

Hi all - what's the latest on Class 180 formations? Is there any change to this list from April this year?

Just wondering if there's any updates on class 180 formations, and what's the latest on 180103?

I see it has 54907 in the P5 2023 'combine' - is it still a demic set, or has it / is it expected to enter service in this formation?

Any updates gratefully received - many thanks.

I believe it's still at Ilford. It was dragged there by ROG for them to look at.

I'm sure a lot of boxes were ticked off on Monday. Yesterday, a second attempt did the full plan of Crofton to Peterborough and back. The weather and backlog of trains was the most likely cause of the delays. Apologies I haven't posted the Links to RTT (defeated by my poor IT skills)

At least those yesterday ran the full distance, albeit delayed.

It worked the Bradford - Kings Cross service a couple of days ago, so not its first outing. I saw it in York on that service, the formation is 50903, 54907, 55906, 56902 and 59903.

Many thanks Northern 158170 and 50002Superb.

Looks like my records are quite out of date! I had:
50903 in 180112 and,
56902 still in 180102 (one of the few I had in original formation).

Which begs the question of what the formations of 180102 and 180112 are now - or come to that, whether there have been any other changes recently?

It might be a long shot, but can anyone post current formations for the class please - and the icing on the cake would be dates of formation changes in 2023.

That would be really helpful - thank-you so much.

It seems the Grand Central class 180 fleet has had a major tidy up at Crofton depot

Sets 001 004 005 008 012 and 014 have all reformed or are still in original formation.
It is understood that 180110 is going to be handed back very soon, and that was the only "extra" 180 to work for GCR

180114 failed at York this morning on 1A64 and cancelled, next booked working of 1A95 from Kings Cross also cancelled. Quicker GC get their next track access licence sorted and obtain some more reliable stock the better. Don't get me wrong, i like the 180s and their passenger comfort, but above all we need the trains to actually run.

Are the Voyagers set for handback soon? Or are they staying longer
