Annoying "Music on hold" songs.

In the last few weeks, when "on hold", twice I have heard a young female voice singing something sounding like "Aye-Oo-Say-Deh, Aye-Oo-Say-Deh" and also "Come again". I was forced to listen to it, being "on hold" for about five minutes both times.
Does anyone recognise this song and the name of the singer?

If you install an app such as SoundHound, it will detect this for you on demand.

Anyone who has tried to phone Virgin Media would rather have teeth pulled…..

’We are experiencing more calls than normal’ …..

Years ago my organisations IT support desk used Jack Johnson - "Better Together". I used to joke to other staff that if you sung that to your partner at home that evening, it meant you'd had a bad day with IT.

Any piece of music that suddenly stops in a way that makes you think someone has finally taken your call, only to launch into a pre-recorded spiel, before the music restarts. We don’t need to be told for the umpteenth time that Megalomaniac plc values your custom (but not enough to employ enough people in the call-centre) and will answer your call soon, an infinitely variable and usually infinite length of time. It often suggest that you should go to their website, ignoring the fact that you are trying to ‘phone as the website doesn’t have an answer to your simple question.

I try very hard to not phone any company likely to have a call centre or hold music, somewhat ironically I find that communication companies are the worst for endless queues and awful service when you actually get to speak to someone.

Years ago I called a company (I forget who) that had an automated tally of the number of call handlers and the position in the queue that updated as you got nearer being answered, much more useful than the "your call is important to us" BS you get now.

I’ve only ever met this excellent service from British Gas and my GP surgery. The former usually tells me I’m about number 84 in the queue; the latter about 4.
On the other side, I work for a small team within a larger organisation and we keep an unofficial tally of people we catch on the hop by answering within seconds (our “norm”) when they’re expecting to wait up to 20 minutes….

Hold music seems to be of the lowest sound quality I've noticed, I was on hold with Severn Trent a few weeks ago and despite having full 5G signal and crystal clear with the person I was talking to, as soon as I was put on hold, the sound quality of the music sound quality of the music made it sound as if the call was about to disconnect due to poor signal.

I’m pretty cynical in my old age but I think it’s all designed so that you’ll give up and hang up.

Anyone else noticed that when you call a company for help/complaints etc no one seems to pick up the phone and you get those annoying messages that keep interrupting the really cool music ,advising you that due to covid/weather/Ukraine/ earthquakes etc that all their operators are busy,or that they are experiencing an abnormal number of calls but when you call the sales line ,the call is immediately answered ,almost telepathically !
