Currently on a train that was Bournemouth to Waterloo via Winchester. I think it's 1W16.

We stopped at Totton and then Southampton Central for ages. Now we're heading for Fareham and Portsmouth Direct. Next stop is Woking.

Don't have any real details but emergency services involved according to driver announcements.

Technically, SW Main Line (I only mention for clarity), but it seems Emergency Services involved, so doesn't sound good. Let's all be patient with this one.

Here's the National Rail disruption page on it, the basic gist is Weymouth services being diverted via Guildford, Basingstoke terminators from London cancelled, Portsmouth Harbour via Eastleigh and West of England line trains not going beyond Basingstoke towards London.

There are 4 trains trapped between Farnborough and Basingstoke on the down line. The up line seems to be operating again, 5W56 has just been sent up (2 x 444s).

Update: trains on the down now seem to be moving and all blocks removed.

Interestingly, the 1420 Waterloo to Exeter is running twice as 1Z41 27 mins late from Waterloo and then 1L41 starting at Basingstoke! Not sure which gets canned at Salisbury given both still show Exeter but I assume there won't be crew for both.

Basingstoke currently affected due to a broken down 70 at Didcot. 4M65 has been parked at platform 1 for ages as it has nowhere to go.

Hook station had a sea of emergency services vehicles there at lunchtime and both the station footbridge and the road bridge were closed to pedestrians - a sad outcome it would seen.

To make it worse, something similar occurred near Guildford at around 17:00. Trains on the Direct were at a stand for about 40 minutes, with on-train announcements referring to trespassing on the tracks.
