I was booked on the Paris-Vienna Nightjet on May 09th.

I opened the NightJet site on a random whim, and by pure unluck I saw the message that my Nightjet NJ4069 is cancelled on May 9th

NJ 469 from Paris to Vienna with departure on
28.03.; 02.04.; 07.04.-11.04.; 25.04.-09.05.; 21.05.-26.05.2025

There has been absolutely no direct communication from ÖBB about this and the booking website simply shows the train "booked up".

I will contact them out to get confirmation, but I am glad I opened the website 2 months in advance and not 2 days before departure

Very annoying.

I don't know when ÖBB were informed of the unexpected engineering works which caused this. However, given the short notice and the large number of services cancelled ( they ask you to contact customer services to rebook or cancel for a refund ), it probably makes sense for them to start by informing those travelling immediately - hopefully they'll be in touch with you shortly.

I can cancel online still, but my rant was mostly about not getting at the very least an automated email.

But since it's still in the online booking site, it's probably normal.

I will however enquire about getting my reservation transferred to the Brussels train. It will cost me 39€ in E* reservation fees but all my plans aren't ruined at least.

Welp, after looking up the prices from Brussels (2x the price I originally paid) it's probably a lost cause but I'll try anyways.
