Hi everyone,

I have just made a trip from Salina Cruz to Coatzacoalcos, and from Coatzacoalcos to Pakal Na (Palenque). If anyone wants info, happy to share what I have learned. HSTs are currently running on the Coatzacoalcos to Pakal Na services.

Here are a two photos for those interested.

Can we assume from the the illuminated hazard lights that the CDL (door locking) is not used? That is to say they run with doors unlocked?

Is it possible they've reversed the light system so that unlike in the UK they operate failsafe? i.e. lit = locked?

I suppose it’s a possibility - if the system was left unlocked all the time I guess they’d likely have just disconnected it by now?!

That being said, I’m intrigued at having TGS vehicles with guards vans placed seemingly at random within the consist. The TGS doors are not connected to the CDL system (or they weren’t in UK spec!), so that must mean either that there is no internal access to the guards’ van (which would mean no access between the adjacent coaches), the doors have been budget locked closed, or they’re just running with the TGS doors unlocked.

Some interior images would be very interesting!

Hi everyone, I shall provide more information shortly (next week or so). I'll also provide a link for more photos - Facebook and/or Instagram.

I've got Nigeria now 90% guaranteed to happen end of April too.

Yes, the doors are permanently unlocked on both sides.

The idea is that you do not leave your seat, except to use the toilet, so lack of through access does not really matter. They don't really understand how to run a railway, but at least they have a better idea than the adjacent Tren Maya.

The interior is the same as with VTEC, except with the US-style two pin sockets instead. The toilets still feature pictures of the Scottish Highlands. A rake with the XC or GWR interior is due to start service at some point.

They do not run on Line Z.

Simply Railway has reviewed the Tren Interoceánico. (I haven't watched it yet.)

Hola a todos!

After one failed attempt due to a hurricane, I was finally able to take a look at the new Tren Interoceánico yesterday, one of Mexico's numerous projects to revive passenger trains across the state... and as you can see, they operate this new service with familiar rolling stock...

Enjoy, and don't forget to like/leave a comment to help the channel :)

Map realized with Viaduct, more at https://viaduct.world/

TRIP INFORMATION -
Date: MARCH 2025
Railway company: Corredor Interoceanico
Route : Coatzacoalcos to Pakal Na
