I'm aware of the memorabilia forum but the description of it doesn't seem to stack with what I'm after.

Basically, I'm planning a project which involves a bunch of modern transport infrastructure.

I'm after buying basically two things:

1. A passenger door open/close button panel.
2. A passenger emergency pull lever (with or without cover). Ideally, I'd like a full unit with speaker/mic for 'speak to driver'.

I'm not replicating some historical infrastructure or anything so actually these can be modern versions, in fact modern is more preferable.

I'm wondering if there's anywhere to actually buy these two items (short of buying a full unit).

The only thought I have at the moment is going direct to suppliers but I expect what answer I'll get.

EAO manufacture the door buttons and panels for the majority of trains. You could try contacting them and ask if they could sell you one. Ebay is also worth checking as door buttons and door panels from old trains very often end up on there and these are often still quite modern buttons that were added during refurbishments.

Can "normals" rather than firms buy from Unipart Rail?
Checking their catalogues and can't see much to do with rolling stock, including passenger panels.

I expect they may sell me something if I had a good reason and I explained it to them, though anything with a lock or key will likely be a refusal I would imagine.

Not sure if there are any listed now but there were class 313, 317 door open buttons on ebay recently. A fair few parts from scrapped 507/508, 313s etc have been listed too lately.

I'll check out EAO, thanks!

Yes eBay has been good for some things so far. I've got the pedestrian control panels from pelican crossings from there and they work grand. I could find some very very old rolling stock parts but struggled to find the examples I'm after. My head is all over the place at the moment though so maybe not searching very well!

Craig & Derricott may be a good option, but you will need to speak to them directly and they might not want to sell to you: Customer Interface

PTSO or platform depending on the weather
I wrote to Unipart Dorman a few years ago enquiring about signal parts. I never heard back

At a recent exhibition of the (I think) Network SouthEast society, there was a door open/close panel off a GN Class 313 so I'm sure these can be had

Ebay seller afsl-parts do sell items such as those you mention removed from vehicles scrapped at Eastleigh. It might be worth sending them a message to see what is coming up.

Similarly you could contact Booth's at Rotherham.

I know Unimetals at Newport are very reluctant to let anything go. These was a time at Swindon open days when you paid a pound and you could go onto a scrap loco with a screwdriver and help yourself. However that was the 70's.

The London Transport Museum have sold stuff like passenger door buttons before in the past.
I went to an open day at the depot of the London Transport Museum and there were a few stalls selling bits of old trains - switches, luggage racks and the like.
