I don't know, but given the number of people waiting to go south when I arrived, it clearly didn't happen.

I'm getting a bit fed up with GA now too, the big holes in the timetable at CMB are due to their missing and off-pattern trains, and they don't seem to do anything to help when GN fall over as they so often do. They run the service you mention ECS, and they don't stop the Liverpool Street to Ely passing CMB at 1822 - for no apparent reason - even when the services around it are cancelled. And tonight they terminated this short (admittedly it was late) at Cambridge when there was a platform full of passengers waiting to go north as nothing had left northwards for almost an hour. As a result the 1835 GN, also running very late, was packed to the rafters, picking up 4 trains worth of people. Moving 5 carriages of people in the Ely direction on that service would have helped immensely.
That 1H82 was 30 late with 31 minutes at Cambridge, with 31 minutes at Ely, so terminating it short was a very odd decision. Especially so, given the other disruption. As you say, it should stop at Cambridge North. There doesn't appear to be any obvious reason why it can't.

At least I'm not paying £8536 (!) for the 'pleasure' of an annual Ely to London z1-6 season. I'm not quite sure how I'd manage to suppress my feelings about the 'service' I was 'receiving' if I was paying that much - I feel miserable enough most days having paid £4 for an off-peak day return between Ely and Cambridge...

I've got an Ely - London terminals annual season ticket and that's quite a painful price too.

Looking on the gloomy side, the 1512 KGX KLN is cancelled again.

Started from Cambridge it appears, so for once the 1710 KLN-KGX service is actually running tonight.

(looks it up) - ouch! I don't envy you, that's a *lot* of money to shell out for such a continually poor service.

Edited Friday : 1512 KGX KLN cancelled again, today throughout, so the 1710 KLN KGX is cancelled again too (with the resulting large gap in service at Cambridge North, once again).

GN just can't seem to run this diagram for the whole day - it seems to start ok (fortunately the 0947 ELY KGX is managing to run most of the time) but then falls apart mid-afternoon more often than not.
