The railway to Oban has been closed by a significant landslide between the power station and Lochawe station ie not in the section protected by Anderson's piano. It slip has crossed the railway and has reached towards the A85 below which is also closed. May be some time.
As of today local authorities are allowed to run their own bus services either directly or by franchising. I wonder whether west Lothian will take up the opportunity.

Slateford sidings aren't much use for any non-railway purpose. Since they have permitted rights for railway use (I assume that they were the carriage sidings for Princes Street), I would have thought that someone should be planning for major railway use.
