Further to the increase in diagrams for the 777s there still appears, according to PTS, to be about 4 spare diagrams, ignoring Headbolt Lane. Is there any indication yet as to where these might be for?

106. and 11 ran as the Holyhead to Llanelli before Easter. However the day before that it was 122 on its own.

As in theory there are only 3 diagrams for 507s how many 507s are still left on Merseyside and ' taking up space' so that the 777s currently at LM cannot come up?

Two 196/0 have been used on a morning peak time run from Shrewsbury.

It didn't take the fitter long at Shrewsbury, 5 mins ish. He did something in the cab. The unit was late arriving and of course late leaving.

With all this having to move 197s up to Chester from the South for exam/maintenance or whatever are there any plans to have the units serviced in S Wales? Don't TfW trust their fellow countrymen with a spanner in their hands? All this must be a scheduling nightmare.

Could a 231 be used as a replacement for a 197 or Mk 4 on a Manchester diagram?

66307 on Bescot to Hams Hall this morning with a single container flat. Passed through Coleshill at 11.45.

With regard to the pickup shoes issue is this a mechanical problem or a software one? If each coach has a pickup each side why do you need to higher and lower them? Can the pickups be independently operated on each side? Is it a wear and tear issue? Are the 507s the same?

Much has been said in this thread about the problems with the introduction of the 777s. From an outsider there appears to be problems on the manufacturing side as well as a political angle. The only way to get the Mayor to listen I suspect is if there are votes at stake. There have been many...
