My idea to cease running trains on Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday and run trains on Boxing Day instead

Its not a wholesale break though, still need signallers, people working in engineering possessions etc.. Easter is another period when significant engineering takes place.

Reinstating passing loops on the Chiltern Sudbury stations

What improvements would it allow, and would the loops actually be in the right place? You have a loop on the up at West Ruislip and the old down line at South Ruislip. As @Zomboid notes, you would be sitting at a Sudbury station for a while as you now have approach control into the loop, as well...

If HS2 phase 2a gets built, what high speed services could run?

It was already there, it makes it a lot easier.

Cross Country Boxing Day 2026 consultation

Dec 26 is Xmas 2026. Blocks aren't nailed down at all.

If HS2 phase 2a gets built, what high speed services could run?

Rolling stock determines that. Door cycles are too long.

Crowd Management at Liverpool Lime Street after Parade

What do you intend to replace them with?

If HS2 phase 2a gets built, what high speed services could run?

I would say Japanese culture makes it better, not slower!

If you had a chance to chat with Network Rail

That is/has already been looked at, hence the increased amount of blockades happening. Red zone working is never going to be relaxed.

Crowd Management at Liverpool Lime Street after Parade

Ignoring the topic being discussed, that really does go both ways! Operators are just as bad.

If you had a chance to chat with Network Rail

NR will know all that already, via the strategic planners, economic analysts etc

If HS2 phase 2a gets built, what high speed services could run?

2A solves Colwich. It is far from weak.

Could efficiencies be made at Euston?

You are still assuming that you can make the throat work.

Can 3 lens signals display preliminary caution?

I'm not sure what you are getting at? Most modern LED signals have two signal lenses that can show different aspects in a 4 aspect area, a single lens in 3 aspect. A historic 3 lens bulb signal wouldn't be able to do what you are suggesting.

If HS2 phase 2a gets built, what high speed services could run?

You currently have 8 tph using the Airport, with TPE expecting a 9th. If you are using longer trains, which the airport remodelling is for, then you are permissively working. A 200m train is not going to allow for anything significant behind it. As above. 9tph passenger expected, alongside any...

Can 3 lens signals display preliminary caution?

What do you mean by pre caution? Double yellow? It can be done on a transition to four aspect signalling where a 3 aspect signal head has yellow, green, yellow. You can't have a double yellow on three aspect signalling, or it would be four aspect.

Could efficiencies be made at Euston?

Add on another 2 for Avanti (2 Birmingham, 1 Scotland via Birmingham, 1 Chester, 2 Liverpool, 3 Manchester, 1 Glasgow) and 5 tpd Lumo. It is 7 for LNWR (2 x Milton Keynes, 2 x Tring, 1 x Crewe, 2 x Birmingham). If you are increasing the platform occupancy for at least 12 of those trains, how are...

Could efficiencies be made at Euston?

You would need more rolling stock and more platforms at Euston.

Crowd Management at Liverpool Lime Street after Parade

There is plenty being looked at since the event, believe me. Its insulting to assume NR will use Water St as an excuse.

If HS2 phase 2a gets built, what high speed services could run?

Ignore that diagram at the top, all bets are off on that. Would likely not fit at the airport as it would want a sizeable turnaround, even with the proposed platform extensions and relying on permissive working as you will still have a significant amount of trains to/from Piccadilly. Doubtful...
