When you go to do the new tests you will most likely just be taken to a screen that says something like "You have already completed these tests and your current scores will be used". You likely won't have to redo them, just go to start them and you will see. Unless it has changed dramatically...

Hey. Anyone have an idea as to how many Sundays they work in the rota at WMSC? Is it a 5 week or more rota? Does it average out 1 or 2 Sundays per pay day for e.g?

Hi all. Apologies for being a pain, but does anyone know the shift times for the Alrewas box? Is it 8/12hrs, open 24hrs? Also any idea of rota (i.e. how many Sundays per 4 week). Feel free to PM me details if you don't want to put it in the forum. Thanks!

You get paid a week in arrears, so you should be paid 2 weeks and 3 days pay on 5th April and then full pay from May 3rd onwards.

Currently just finishing week 10 and can totally agree with all of what is said here. You get a little breather week 8 and 9 (slightly) then it ramps up again! Best of luck all you guys in your final weeks, keep thread informed how you get on. ;)

Similar to Tom, I went for 3 interviews in one week. Got offered the Grade 2 first. Even filled out the paperwork and had the medical for my Grade 2, a few weeks later the offer for my current Grade 4 ROC job came through and I was able to accept it and it just trumped the Grade 2 offer no...

I believe "Application under consideration for assessment 2" basically means your details are going over to the hiring manager to be considered for interview. Good luck!

They say they are valid for 12 months, but during my applications I was asked to resit some after 6 months. They CAN last for 12 months but some people have previously said you can ask to resit them after 6 months if you feel you did not do very well on them the first time. Best to just ring...

    Police Constable to Railway

A lot of ex-Police are joining Network Rail as Signallers too. I originally went for Trainee Driver role but ended up doing Signalling in the end. Something to consider if Driver roles are not coming up in your area very often. There is also generally a bit less competition for Signalling roles...

On your 2nd day of induction (Friday morning usually), you will do some English and Maths tests assessments again online like the ones you do before you join. If you have evidence you can forget week 9. You will have to do them in week 9, but there is no real pass or fail they tell you to just...

You could be put anywhere, it does not seems to matter where you live. You will be put where there are places on the course, not the geographical area you live in. You could live in London but still be put on a course in York (not Basingstoke for example). I ended up in Westwood in Coventry, I...

Strongly recommend you try to visit any box you have an interview for. Not only is it great to see the rota plus possibly meet someone you could be potentially working with, it obviously looks good for preparation at interview. Whilst not absolutely essential, I can tell you from experience...
