Unusual working today(Sunday 20.3.22)..Mountsorrel sidings-Sellafield routed via Cumbrian Coast through BiF..top n tailed by DRS 66/68

The Arkonia is currently moored at Weaste(18/4) and boats seem to be arriving every 10 days or so.Although there is a weekly path from Oxwellmains overnight Thursday/Friday until December there is currently no return working shown on RTT?

..but from 1st April..assuming its not an April Fool...the Oxwellmains-Weaste is shown on RTT as a ThO running overnight and into Weaste 07.38 .This seems to be through to December although no return working is shown yet.

A light engine 66 has run on this turn several times recently.Travels over the Man Vic-walkden-wigan route..then return trip(s)from WNW to Man Vic before heading back to Peak Forest.There has been a similar turn from Arpley to Man Vic via WNW and Walkden..again a light engine 66.Looks to be...

RTT is showing a Peak Forest -Weaste aggregates path (19/5-22/5) loading to 1800 t although this hasn't run yet(as at 20/5). There is no return path from Weaste,this would be first traffic on the branch for some time..possibly was last used in 2016. Anybody throw any light ?

195121 today(Good Friday) worked the 15.17 Leeds-wigan Wallgate.. returning with the 17.56 from Wigan.Possibly the first 195 on the Leeds-wigan service although not the first on the Salford Crescent to Wigan via Walkden route due to diversions and ecs moves.

Noted at Stalybridge on Wednesday (20/12)evening at 20.45... 2 class 73's top n tailing Crewe to Crewe test train...visiting Rose Hill Marple ,Glossop and Hadfield...not a Local train for local people then.

Been past twice this week on separate days and on both occasions 09009 was parked up . The working from here...now Collyhurst st GBRF ...is up and running regularly ..but what is it..?? Looks like 09009 has been brought in from Trafford Park GBRF to assist ..not sure why....?

Went past on the train today...there seems to be some site works ongoing adjacent to the stone terminal.The other possibility would be to develop the yard used to store cable etc.at the end of the existing sidings.The current waste terminals at eg .Dean Lane maybe tied up in the mysteries of...

Reports in the press this week that GMWDA have terminated waste disposal contract with Viridor...does this mean that existing "Binliners" from Brindle Heath/Dean Lane/Bredbury/Northenden will cease...all these workings are to the Runcorn Viridor plant?Is the new working from Collyhurst St to...

New paths have appeared mon-fri for a 2200 t out/600 t return flow.This runs from Collyhurst St.(Miles Platting) ..presumably on the former Oldham Rd branch...to Scunthorpe Roxby Gullet.Looks to be another "binliner" but have been passed recently and haven't noticed any sign of loading facilities..?

This week a DRS class 66 has been working 05.55 ex York via Dewsbury and Huddersfield into platform 1 at Victoria,thence lays over for an hour or so at Brewery Junction loop.Returns via Victoria and same route as outward journey to York.Looks to be a route learner ..??Loco is fitted with cameras...

Looks like the return of the Binliner...66 worked down LE from Tees Yard in the usual morning path today..17 th Feb...heading for Knowsley.Interesting to see a Pathfinder Tours scheduled to visit the Knowsley terminal on the 11th March as part of a railtour.

07.48 Euston to Burnley Manchester Rd..out via Stoke to Stockport with electric haulage thence diesel via Todmorden curve..ecs to Blackburn .Return via Crewe for loco change...brings back memories of the League Liner with its disco coach??????

The Knowsley to Wilton binliner doesn't seem to be running at the moment ...nothing for a couple of weeks or so...pre Christmas there were often 2 trains a day...Anyone know what's (not)occurring.....??

Monday 12th December ...RTT shows light engine from Crewe to Weaste (arr 07.21/dep 08.30)...presumably to remove empty tanks which arrived 29/11 back to Tunstead.Hoping that they aren't now in some local scrap yard awaiting recycling??
