DB timetable change - alternative routing

Well, the results. The Eurostar terminated in p4/p6 at Brussels, making for an easy connection. We chose option 5, a new ticket via Zürich, and this worked perfectly, and was a relaxed trip. It was an enjoyable journey. In the end, option 2 would've worked out with ICE1109 being held for 2...

DB timetable change - alternative routing

True, but after 23h vs before 21h after a 6am start is a little miserable which makes 2 or 5 more appealing. Separately, my (few) experiences of DB during disruption have been positive previously, and I'm surprised that 1 is on the table from DB's side.

DB timetable change - alternative routing

Thanks all for your helpful advice and insight. As far as I can see, my options are: Continue on ICE 597 to Munich as booked, knowing the connection with RJ287 to Innsbruck won't be made, arrive St Anton +2:20. Claim 50% compensation. Possibility: guaranteed, on time arrival: 0% Somehow...

DB timetable change - alternative routing

Does that apply even if innocently turning up to a situation on the day where via Zurich is the only itinerary that won't incur a 2-hour delay? HOTNAT/AJC/20/60-minute rule or something?

DB timetable change - alternative routing

I had booked to travel London - St Anton am Arlberg via ICE15-ICE597-RJ287-RJX168 (Brussels - Frankfurt - Stuttgart - Munich - Innsbruck - St Anton), and have just happened on the information that ICE597 Frankfurt-Munich has been retimed and will no longer arrive at Munich Hbf before the...

    Brussels Eurostar-ICE connection time

Eurostar De Connect; yes; yes - that option is not there on the Eurostar website, unfortunately. Eurostar say it is removed as DB own the booking.

    Brussels Eurostar-ICE connection time

This service arrives at a terminus platform and unfortunately we do have heavy luggage. Eurostar say they cannot edit the booking, as it is owned by DB.

    Brussels Eurostar-ICE connection time

I am to be attempting the 20-minute connection at Brussels 10:05-10:25 next month, with baggage, from carriage 7 of the Eurostar. I assume the connections corridor will not be open. Does anyone have any recent experiences of making one of these short connections? I'd be confident but am...

    Lausanne to Kefalonia

There is a great Italian restaurant, Samarcanda, in the Case Nuove village by MXP, where a lot of the hotels are. The hourly S50 will take you to the airport from the cross-border line without having to pass through Milan. Alternatively, Gallarate station, again on the cross-border line from...

    Services around Sarajevo

The flagship route, Sarajevo - Mostar - Čapljina ( - Ploče) sees modern Talgos (hauled by an islanded HŽPP loco for the Croatian stretch (!)), and winds through stunning scenery as posted above. Highly recommend. There is a gap between the ŽFBH (railways of the Federation) and ŽRS (railways of...

Rules for Czech 'First Minute' fares

It is disappointing that DB, and possibly CD, have moved in this direction, but I can't fault them for it as the fares remain incredible value compared to SBB and it always was a little too good to be true.

Rules for Czech 'First Minute' fares

There is wording on the CD website for these, in Document terms & conditions, such that makes me question whether it is valid on any train in Switzerland: Is this similar to the wording now added to DB Sparpreis tickets issued to Switzerland?
