    West Country Independents

Devon County Council contracted routes. Minibus operated out of necessity because of the very narrow Dartmoor bridges between Ashburton & Two Bridges via Dartmeet (section of route once served by First D&C Varios as part of the former DCC Sunday Rover network and before that narrow bodied LH...

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

...and presumably all Sundays are forecast to be wet & windy suppressing demand hence their lower frequencies this year?! Could be some busy Sunday journeys perhaps should the currently run of wet weather stop?

Thanks, so just a temporary loan then. Thought I recalled something, must have added some livery variety to Leicester then being Coaster/Quantock ones.

Did I once read a couple were transferred to another First area for a new airport route (as they had suitable luggage racks from previous airport duties)?

Trivia: Transport for London's most remote bus stop

Only for the special running days (it is removed at other times)

Westlink - Demand Responsive Transport (West of England Combined Authority)

It was cancelled at the last moment unfortunately.

The council said yesterday (or the day before) emergency talks are still ongoing. 1707992537 The Atlantic Coaster was also much more ambitious in its original much longer St Ives Hayle Towans Portreath St Agnes Perranporth Newquay Padstow format with a considerably higher PVR before being...

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

I travelled on a DD 29 only last year and the route was fine tree wise. Also the 75 required a DD on the college timed journeys in more recent times after the additional college service was withdrawn in Buses of Somerset cuts before both routes transferred to West of England.

Off-topic as you say but when I last rode GCB 36 a couple of summers ago it was operated by distant Scorrier base running dead to/from Truro.

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

I recall the end date was brought forward to finish the route sooner & initially some buses didn't have destination screens programmed so ran with a bit of paper in the windscreen which was hard to see (on top of buses with unfamiliar non-local branding such as the Lizard).

England and Wales interurban bus map

The yellow coaches used feature both megabus and Southwest Falcon branding (looking messy and nowhere near as good as the original dedicated Falcon livery in my opinion) and I note a recent marketing email I received refers to the route as 'megabus Southwest Falcon' so the Falcon brand is at...

    Creatively filmed to suggest it.

    Taunton Park and Ride Thoughts

Yes the original Falcon marketing even showed the Taunton stop as using the Gateway site but it was then altered to the BP garage just before the service started, but originally stopping on the opposite side of the road to it (one driver even said he didn't consider the opposite stop safe &...

There were two tender specs, with the option of using a reduced three DD on a lower 20 minute frequency (as opposed to four SD every 15 minutes).

And the Buses of Somerset Wrantage-Strode College 55 - which Yeovil operated the afternoon journey on (think Taunton may have run the morning one?) often using a bus that has earlier been on what is now the Dorset CR4 - also transferred to West of England so technically three services.

It's been on the Tavistock town 89 for last week or so according to tracking.

The 2021 version was daily route 190 from 21 June but it didn't last very long from memory.

Just seen that E400 is pictured in the current September Buses mag on p12 with info on the park and ride service

It has a PVR of two with breaks built-in, when I was last in Weymouth E400 2606 LF59 XDZ was running along with E200 MMC 1329 YX19 ONS. Occasionally ex-First Wessex General Manager / Bournemouth Yellow Buses Director Simon Newport has been seen out driving.

And the heritage operated with a conductor QMS Exmoor Explorer 400 was a delightful scenic route that needed duplicates at certain times!
