    Hi fella, it’s a 37.5 hour week..you get at least 2 days off a week..the days are staggered..one week you may have Mon/Tues..the next Tues/Weds etc etc..Usually you get 4 weekends off in 12 weeks..sometimes you get 3 or 4 rest days in a week..it depends on which rota you are on..

    Lots of ex bus drivers here mate Don’t worry about the training/tests..everyone thinks it’s daunting at first but it’s super rare that people fail Once you have worked your one line for a few months you will be assigned a minder again to train you on another line..by then you’ll be completely...

    Definitely arrive smart..first impressions are everything Also read up on Metrolink..owners/directors..a little about the lines. Focus on punctuality too as they like that (This is if your interview is on the same day..mine wasn't) You can either park on the depot or the Irish Heritage car...

    I very much doubt salaries or previous work experience hold much sway in selection My particular training group came from all backgrounds and only 2 of the 9 drove for a living previously We also had an ex copper on our course who was on considerably more money in his previous job
