Looks like this might be a stock move from Bristol (there's one back in the evening as well)...
Here's one from this evening of the Queen of Scots set returning from Glenfinnan to Carnforth on a private charter The West Highlander quite possibly for David Smith of West Coast. The set travelled up on Saturday 20th with private cars being conveyed in the GUV van on the rear, and the set...
Anyone shed any light on what Galatea is up to today? Seems to be running with ECS to King's Lynn off Carnforth.

There are two trains from Edinburgh to Euston running tomorrow - 7th October - departing 10.28 and 17.50 calling only at Preston, also one northbound at 12.33. They're not in the Virgin timetable leaflets. Does anyone know what they are / why they're running?
Which lines/junctions do they use to turn steam locos at Carlisle? Looking at a railway atlas there would seem to be a few options. Also, do they get re-coaled between trips. Cheers for any info.

Today whilst photographing in the Lune Gorge I saw a four-coach consist going south, I was quite a way away but it looked like two Night Riviera coaches sandwiched between two non-passenger vans. Any idea what this was?
On the last 3 miles of the journey, the Great Britain V heads towards Kyle. :)
As you may guess, this is not the original shot I set up for, but thought it was still quite nice.
